What it is

Being asked to do something with AI isn't the same as knowing where it would help. You need to understand what it can do, what it needs from your team, and what could go wrong.

We look at one area of work in depth, with the people who do it. Together we assess where AI could help, where it could cause problems, and what needs to be in place before you use it. You get a written recommendation you can act on.

It's for you if

  • Someone senior has asked for an AI plan, and nobody knows where to start.
  • People are already using AI in their work, and nobody's sure where the line is.
  • You've been shown a product and can't tell whether it would help.

What it involves

  1. 1

    Week one: see the work

We sit with the people who do the work and map how it really happens. The tasks, the decisions, the information they rely on, and what goes wrong when something's missed.

  2. 2

    Week two: test the ideas

We take the plausible uses of AI and test them against real examples from your own work, not a list of features. For each one we ask what it would need in place, and whether it's worth it. Then we write it up. It's a short document, focused on what to do next. You see a draft first, and it's not finished until you've had your say.

  3. 3

    The readout

A 90-minute session with whoever you want in the room. We walk through where AI belongs, where it doesn't, and what to do first.

What you get

  • A short list of places where AI could help, grounded in your team's real work, each stating what it would need in place: the data, the permissions, the safeguards and the oversight.
  • A clear list of where AI shouldn't be used, and why.
  • A recommended first step: where to start, what to try, and how you'll know whether it worked.
  • Two more weeks of us on hand for questions once you've had time to think.

Tell us what you've been asked to do with AI.

A short email is enough to start. We'll come back to you and arrange a time to talk it through, with no obligation on either side.
